AMERICAN BUSINESS MEDIA TEAMS WITH EVERYBODY WINS! FOR CENTENNIAL
Year-long effort will encourage member companies to participate in program
NEW YORK, January 12, 2006—American Business Media marks its 2006 centennial year by partnering with Everybody Wins!, a national foundation that promotes children’s literacy by teaming adults with underprivileged school children. In this year-long effort, ABM will encourage its member companies to participate in Everybody Wins by donating their time and, where appropriate, funds to advance children’s literacy across the nation. A check will be presented to Everybody Wins! at ABM’s Centennial Gala, December 7, 2006 at the American Museum of Natural History.
“We are very excited about celebrating the history of business media and its impact on the nation over the last 100 years,” said Gordon T. Hughes II, president and CEO of American Business Media. “But our future is as important. It is important to our leadership that we champion the cause of literacy in this nation so we can advance tomorrow’s readers and leaders. We think Everybody Wins! is a great way to do that.”
“We all know that literacy is the key to the future,” added Deborah Seidel, executive director of Everybody Wins! NY. “Through the Everybody Wins! partnership with ABM, we will make a difference to children across the country.”
