Hanley Wood brings back Peter Goldstone as its new CEO

Peter Goldstone

April 9, 2012 - Peter Goldstone has been tapped to return to Hanley Wood as CEO. An 11-year veteran of the construction b-to-b publishing company, he had risen to the title of president when that position was eliminated in 2010. As current CEO Frank Anton moves to a new role as chairman, Goldstone will be taking on the chief executive officer job in May.

In the interim, Goldstone has served as president of Atlantic Media's Government Executive Media Group. According to an article in Folio:, the transition in executive structure followed from changes requested by Hanley Wood's new ownership group, Oaktree Capital. As outgoing CEO Anton tells Folio:, "They started talking to me about what role I wanted to play and asked if a transition to chairman was acceptable. I said, yes, it was. I still wanted to see the company through its rebound. We've taken it on the chin over the last five years and I wanted to stay around and help it reestablish into a growth business."

Goldstone adds, in a statement, "At the same time, I am thrilled to be rejoining Hanley Wood, which was my home for 11 years. I also feel fortunate to team up once again with my good friend, Frank Anton. We have been solid partners, and we share a passion for aggressively growing this business."
