When are the deadlines to submit entries?
The early bird discount ends on November 11th. The final deadline is December 2nd.

Will an extension be granted after the December 2nd deadline?
No. December 2nd is the final deadline this year.

What is the cost to enter the Neal Awards?
$175 for each entry submitted by November 11th.
$195 for each entry submitted between November 12th and December 2nd.

How do I enter the Neal Awards?
Go to www.AmericanBusinessMedia.com/NealAwards. All entries must be submitted online.

Will a call for entries book be mailed to me?
No, to find the call for entries book, visit www.AmericanBusinessMedia.com/NealInfo .

If I am entering a print article or series, do I enter that online too?
Yes, you must upload a PDF of the print article(s) for archive purposes, unless you are submitting the entire issue of the publication in Categories 8 and 9. A high-resolution image (300 DPI or press-ready PDF) of the opening page of your entry is also required for use at the ceremony if your entry is named a finalist. You must also mail tear sheets of the print article(s) to American Business Media, 675 Third Ave., 7th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10017.

If I am entering a digital-only category, can the entire pro¬cess be handled online, or do I also need to provide tear sheets or other paper documents?
No paper documents are needed for digital-only entries. The entire entry process will be handled online.

When does the entry have to be published to qualify?
December 1, 2010 through November 30, 2011.

Where does the entry have to be published to qualify?
Entries must have been published in an American Business Media member publication or website. If you are not sure if your company is a member, please call American Business Media.

Are non-English entries accepted?
No, at this time we accept only entries that are in English.

How many entries can a title enter?
No more than 18 entries per title.

How many entries can a title submit into one category?
For each title, two entries may be submitted in any one category.

Can I enter the same entry in multiple categories?
You may not submit entries in multiple categories, except for Best Range of Work by a Single Author, Best Single Issue, Best Integrated Package and Best Website.

Can multiple titles contributing to an entry qualify?
Yes, if the work was produced collaboratively and disseminated to readers as part of a cohesive package. If the titles are in different revenue classes, please pick the higher revenue class.

How do I find my SRDS number?
If you do not know your SRDS number, you can ask your publisher.

The Call for Entries states that there is a limit of eight people who can be listed on an entry — I have more. What should I do?
If you have more than eight people who have worked on your entry, we suggest you check the Acknowledge Entire Staff box.

Why are the directions so specific about presentation of print entries?
We ask that you adhere to the presentation directions because your entries must withstand the rigors of the screening and judging process. They will pass through many hands, and the judges must be able to read them clearly. Your entries are safest in three-ring binders with acetate protectors.

If I am submitting tear sheets for my print entries, why do I need to also provide a PDF?

Where do I upload my submission?
on the online entry form you will find a section called Submit Your Entry. In this section you can upload links and files.

If I start an entry, but cannot finish it, can I finish it at a later time?
Yes. Save your entry as a draft and go back to it when you are ready to work on it again.

How do I pay for my entry?
All entries are paid for online with a credit card. American Business Media is no longer accepting checks as a form of payment.
