John Holden

John S. Holden joined American Business Media in September 1997. With 28 years of magazine publishing experience, Holden is highly qualified to oversee the projects of the association’s many Committees and Councils. His responsibilities include the collection and dissemination of non-proprietary best practices information created by these Committees and Councils.
Before joining American Business Media, Holden participated in the launch of World business as director of advertising. World business was a publication of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. Prior to that, he spent 25 years at The McGraw-Hill Companies’ BusinessWeek magazine. Holden served in a variety of positions including district manager, market manager of travel advertising, and senior account manager, in both the East and West Coasts. He was an integral member of the advertising sales team, as well as publisher of a monthly travel newsletter, Directions in Travel Marketing.
