Crain Communications Scott Donaton
named 2006 McAllister Editorial Fellow
Scott Donaton, editor of Advertising Age’s print and online editions, and editorial director of its Madison & Vine and Point spin-offs, has been selected as the 12th recipient of the McAllister Editorial Fellowship.
As editor of Advertising Age, Donaton oversees the editorial strategy and operations of both the weekly print publication and its online counterpart, while also writing an opinion column on key industry issues. Founder of Advertising Age’s Madison & Vine initiative, including a weekly email newsletter and related conferences, he published a book on the topic with McGraw-Hill, “Madison & Vine: Why the entertainment and advertising industries must converge to survive,” in 2004. He was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement recognizing the work of executives under 40, and has served two years as chairman of ABM's Editorial Committee.
