News on Print 2006 Neal Award Call for Entries Available Online The 52nd Annual Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Awards Call for Entries, detailing eligibility, entry categories, and submission guidelines is now available online by clicking here. The Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Awards (sponsored by PARS) have been called “the Pulitzer Prize of the business press” and are the industry’s most prestigious and sought-after editorial honors. Established in 1955, the Neal Awards recognize and reward editorial excellence in business-to-business publications. They are named after American Business Media's first managing director, who remained active in promoting the business press throughout his life. Many will notice several category changes this year: Best Single Issue of a Newspaper/News Tabloid has been split into the three revenue classifications and Best Web site into three traffic classifications. There have also been changes in the wording of some of the other category descriptions, so please read the Call for Entries carefully before submitting an entry. The Neal Award judges enforce the rules strictly. As every year, several promising entries are disqualified due to inadvertent mistakes; ABM urges all to follow the rules carefully and to enter work in the appropriate categories and with the required supporting materials. ABM staff will review all applications and help to correct any errors in entries postmarked by the December 3 deadline. Winners will be announced during the 2006 Neal Awards Luncheon ceremony, to be held March 23rd at New York's Waldorf=Astoria Hotel. Early-bird registration is available through the sixth of January.
